Who can resist a Orange Creamsicle Popsicle? Cream swirled with orange, and frozen into the perfect summertime treat. The store bought kind are generally full of high fructose corn syrup, preservatives, dyes, and a host of other unpronounceable ingredients. Many parents let this go because they taste so good and “Hey, I grew up on those and I turned out okay.” The problem is that you likely didn’t grow up on those same ingredients. HFCS didn’t even come on the scene until the 80’s, and even then it hadn’t permeated the American food supply until the 90’s.
So let’s solve both problems. Let’s get rid of the excess sugar, HFCS, and preservatives, and keep the taste. How’s that for problem solving?! Did I mention my Orange Creamsicle Popsicle recipe is super easy to whip up and costs less than a box of Creamsicles at the store? In fact, just go ahead and let your kids make them. Then they won’t be able to turn their nose up for sure!

Orange Creamsicles
Creamy, orange, and frozen on a stick. What kid won't go bonkers for these homemade treats?!
Author: Alison
Serves: 6
Ingredients
1½ cups Whole Plain Yogurt or 1 Can (13.5 oz) full fat Coconut Milk
¼-1/3 cup Organic Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate-softened (I generally use Trader Joe's brand as it does not contain HFCS)
1-6 drops Liquid Stevia
Instructions
Mix yogurt and OJ concentrate together in a bowl, adding concentrate 1 tablespoon at a time until you get an orange flavor that you like.
If it's too tangy, add a few drops of liquid stevia (one drop at a time).
Pour contents into popsicle molds (amount will vary depending on mold used).
Freeze.
Enjoy!
Notes
This recipe is easily adjusted to YOUR tastes. Just keep stirring in more concentrate until it tastes good to you and then sweeten it up with liquid stevia (honey or maple syrup could likely be used as a replacement for the stevia).
