How to Get Rid of Candida For Good

Have you been diagnosed with Candida, a fungal infection that is caused by an overgrowth of yeast in the genital and intestinal tracts? I too have suffered from Candida, and it can be really tough to get rid of.

Why is Candida so difficult to get rid of? The truth of the matter is that the body ALWAYS wants to be in balance. It will do whatever it takes to bring the body back into balance. We experience symptoms when our body is out of balance. It’s the bodies way of saying “Pay attention!”

Candida is one merely one of those symptoms. So just like if you get a cold and take over-the-counter cold remedies to get rid of the runny nose, watery eyes, and cough, you are merely addressing the symptoms, not the actual root cause. If you instead support the immune system by eliminating sugar, take supplements that boost immunity, and get plenty of rest, your body will naturally come back in to alignment.

Candida may be a result of many things. Here’s a quick and dirty list of some of the more common causes:

  1. An excess of sugar, processed foods, and alcohol in the diet leading to an imbalance in the GI system.

  2. An unaddressed food intolerance or allergy that is compromising the GI system and causing an imbalance.

  3. Exposure to mold. The yeast takes over as it both tries to protect you and feeds off the mold toxins at the same time.

  4. Heavy metal toxicity. Again, the yeast is a protective measure. If there’s a lot of metal, then there has to be a lot of yeast to eat the metal, right?

So you see, the over growth of yeast is actually there because of an imbalance. It’s like if you started putting out food for the one lonely, scruffy looking raccoon that came to your door step. Soon, the raccoon would bring her boyfriend by, and then the babies would come trotting along, and pretty soon you’d be inundated with the little rascals! You could put out poison to try and kill off the little buggers, but if you’re still putting out that delicious cat food at the same time, then you might kill off one or two, but the rest of them would still be eating the cat food and making babies. (Please note that I would not actually try to poison raccoons. It’s just for the sake of an example.)

This is where we stop and say “Thank you body for caring about me and protecting me.” You may think I’m joking, but so many of us are at war with our bodies, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned in my journey back to health, it’s that I get the very best results when I love, care for, and work with my body.

For me, Candida was a result of heavy metal toxicity in my body. The abundance of mercury that showed up in my test results (I took a chelator and then sent in a urine sample. No longer considered the most accurate way to test, but this was about 5 years ago now) led me to believe that my old mercury amalgam fillings were likely leaching, and causing a build up of mercury. I had the fillings replaced over the next few months, and, as I was going through that process, I worked on bringing the rest of my body back in to balance. Namely, it was time to kill the overgrowth of yeast and get rid of the fungal infection.

My Naturopath had tested me for Candida, and honestly it was one of the most valuable tests I ever took. The reason was because it reported what kind of overgrowth and infection I had (there can be different types), and what remedies would kill that type of yeast. Nystatin (a prescription) was one of the killers listed along with oregano oil. So, I followed my Naturopath’s advice, and took those as directed.

The problem was that, as a Nutritional Consultant myself, I knew that those alone would not completely get the job done. They were key, but following an anti-Candida diet, alternating the types of remedies used, moving the toxins out of the body, and building the GI tract up with beneficial probiotics were important pieces of the puzzle.

As you can see in my video on Candida, my supplement cabinet became a supplement “jungle” with the seemingly endless pills and potions that I would take in order to rid myself of the Candida and bring my body back in to balance.

Not only did all of those supplements cost a boat load of cash, it was a complete hassle to take the various pills, powders, and elixirs without a meal, with a meal, 2 hours before a meal. AGH!

I’m thrilled to be able to share Jumzu Candida Support supplement that has all of the components that one needs (always in conjunction with an anti-Candida diet) to kill the overgrowth of yeast, support the GI tract, and get you beyond the symptoms so that you can really concentrate on finding the root cause of this imbalance.

Jumzu Candida Support is made in the USA (no crappy Chinese fillers here!), comes with a 100% money back guarantee, and is extremely affordable! Plus, their reviews on Amazon are phenomenal. I’m not alone when I say that their product is truly working wonders for people!

Let’s talk about Supplement Ingredients!

There are a whole slew of supplements that can be taken when taming the overgrowth of yeast and killing the fungal infection. You can buy these individually, but Jumzu contains them all in one easy to swallow capsule!

Aloe Vera Leaf Gel:

Aloe vera leaf gel coats and soothes the intestinal tract, whilst helping to move the overgrowth of bad bacteria out.

Another fungus fighter is Anise Seed. When anise extract was put to the test against seven strains of yeast and four strains of fungus, in vitro experiments showed anise to retard both fungus and yeast proliferation.

Caprylic acid:

Caprylic acid acts as a natural yeast fighting agent and is believed to have the capacity to penetrate the cell membranes of Candida yeast cells, effectively causing them to die off. This aids in detoxifying the digestive tract and speeds up the healing process.

“While antibiotics can kill off all bacteria in the gut environment — both good and bad — caprylic acid can actually do the opposite, helping prevent an imbalance between the presence of various bacteria.” (source)

Digestive Enzymes

Those of us who suffer from Candida, are likely experiencing some digestive distress. Taking a digestive enzyme that contains Protease (helps digest proteins) and Cellulase (helps digest plant material) not only assists with digestion, but helps to keep the blood sugar stable, and the cell membranes healthy and protected.

Oregano Leaf Extract:

This powerful anti-fungal also touts anti-viral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. It has long been used as a natural alternative to antibiotics. Considered an essential part of an anti-Candida regiment, oregano leaf extract is particularly useful because the Candida yeast does not develop a resistance to this anti-fungal. (source)

Prebiotics such as Arabinogalactan:

A little known prebiotic fiber, arabinogalactan, is known to significantly boost the immune system, and is particularly beneficial to the microflora of the gut.

Probiotics:

It is especially important to support the gut at this time. Killing off the overgrowth is like killing the weeds in your lawn. Unless you re-seed and nurture the soil, those weeds will just come right back. Probiotics are the best way to re-seed. After the Candida is gone, continue to support your body with human strain probiotics and a diet low in sugar, processed foods, and alcohol.

Because the liver is such a vital organ, especially when it comes to detoxing the body of something like yeast overgrowth, it is essential to support it. Reishi Mushrooms do just that and so much more. Helping to lower blood pressure, balance hormones (which are often severely affected by yeast overgrowth), and even have cancer killing properties.

On top of it’s anti fungal properties, Wormwood leaf powder has the dual benefit of killing off parasites (pinworms and roundworms) and SIBO (Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) that may also be wreaking havoc in the digestive system. Black walnut hull powder is also an anti-parasitic, and has a laxative effect. Efficiently moving toxins where they belong, in the sewer.

Although there are now MANY anti-Candida protocols to follow, as I stated above, finding the root cause and addressing it, will help you both get rid of Candida and keep it gone. I understand that this can be a long and arduous process, and that living with symptoms can be debilitating and uncomfortable. I also understand that not everyone has access to a practitioner who offers testing such as this. In that case, use the internet to your advantage! Follow an anti-Candida diet, take a supplement such as Jumzu Candida Support, and drink lots of water and you’ll be well on your way to be Candida free in no time!

Many thanks to Jumzu Candida Support for sponsoring this post! Please note that all opinions are my own. Proceeds from sponsors allow me to continue to do what I love to do- help make the world a healthier, happier place!
